Personally, I'm more democratic than republican. And because I don't have enough knowledge about the candidates for the republican party, this journal will deal only with the democratic candidates, specifically Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

To me, it seems Obama is getting quite a fan wave. Almost of tidal proportions. There's nothing wrong with that, but I will make a point-Obama is an idealist.

Idealists are good for times of peace. The fact is, we have a military situation (it's not officially a war, people) in Iraq. And we need to get out of there.

I support Obama's ideals, I think they're incredibly straight-forward, and he addresses many things that need to be addressed-something that is not quite so common among politicians these days.

Yet they are just ideals. And we need to work on foreign affairs right now, then we can set our sights inward. I support Clinton, because I see her as a get-it-done kind of person. To me, Obama seems much more diplomatic, more of a negotiator. But we need to get out of Iraq. And I don't see Obama as actively debating the issue. I see him as a more passive negotiator.

Clinton, of course, has more experience. With this fact, and the feeling I have of these candidates and how they would operate, I feel it would be a mistake for our nation to take a chance on Obama's ideals. We need someone more down-to-earth right now.

Please note, these are my opinions, which I am entitled to, just as you are entitled to your own. Whether you agree or disagree, please understand this is intended for discussion only.

I think that i would have to say that i respectfully dissagree with your opintion.. In my mind i think that Obama is actually a republican... And i think that the other republicans are using him so that Micaine (or however you spell it) would beet him... Micaine is afraid of Hilary because of her wisdom and knowlege - and Obama on the other hand is amature at this whole thing... >.> and obama has been copying Hilary <.<

I understand, but I wonder why you consider Obama a republican? Do you mean republican so far as his political stance on various issues, or something else?

both - and beside the point he has worn red ties when he is being questioned - and as you know red represents republicanism..
